Braunwald - one place with two atmospheres
FS 21
Xenia Braun
With one,
or more new stations in Braunwald, I would like to strengthen the place and
improve the problem of the long travel route. The goal is to create inexpensive
accommodations in the station with a simple construction, which should attract
especially the younger generation. In the arrival area, public uses such as a
café or bar are also intended to pass any waiting times and make the place a
lively meeting point.
The Café
specifies specifically on breakfast and thus the classic Birchermüesli
dedicated to its inventor. For lunch and dinner, visitors should consciously
seek out restaurants from the region or visit the village store and cook for
themselves in the kitchen of the youth hostel.
Even at
night, the luminous tower has an invigorating effect on the small village.
Somewhat away from the center, young people can enjoy themselves undisturbed
even into the early morning.
The second
aspect of my concept deliberately focuses on creating a second very intimate
and quiet place, next to the noisy crowded passage
place. For this purpose, the structures of old stables are to be used and
transformed into small living and working spaces. Whether the barns are rented
just for a few nights or for months at a time as an inspiring place to work,
the conversion will give the old barns a new meaning.
