‘functionalism in living’

Abstract

Not only, but especially during the Home-Office time, I realized that there are so many things missing in a “standard home” we all live in.

I asked myself over and over again, how other people, which are not only since Pandemic-Times, but since many Years working at home, can manage this.

I long for silence when the neighbor-kids are screaming in front of my window. For some deflection when I‘m demotivated/ stressed from working. Be able to discuss with someone in real life. Some shadow when the sun is blinding the display of my computer. Better light condition when I’m working at night times. A place where I can release the accumulated energy.

And after all, a place to relax and refill.

A visit in the spa at the weekend is just postponing the problem, till there is a next need for it.

But there shouldn’t be postponing or seeking, or accumulated stress.

There should be a Home, where all those things are included and perfectly matching to the schedule of the persons everyday life. Like a chair which fits you perfect the first time you use it.

The opposite.
