‘Sleepaway Camp for Children’

A humble area where memories could be created. I immedietly wanted to target children. Luckily, Braunwald turns out to be a family-friendly summer/winter holiday location.

When I arrived in Braunwald, I noticed its simplicity and isolation from the busy world. I took the time to explore the area and take photos on my first visit. The family-friendly aspect of Braunwald immedietly made me think about the children who were coming alongside their families on vacation. 

What if Braunwald offered an alternative schedule for children who come to Braunwald with their parents? The experiences a child has are lifelong, and Braunwald is the place that could offer that. 

Since there are numerous outdoor activities, the architectural intervention is a Sleepaway Camp, where the children sleep together for a short time in a room. In the meantime, memories and experiences are gathered as they spend their days togehter in Braunwald.
