The project deals with a tourist use in Glarus South in the middle of high mountains. The location is very rural and provides for an artificial lake. The project aims to strengthen the connection between the two communities of Hätzingen and Luchsingen. The houses form different sized groups and have different building heights. The project is built in wood and stands on concrete bases. The neighboring houses have a common access. There is always one apartment per floor and house. There is also a small youth hostel and a restaurant. Since the apartments are kept very small, the vacation village also offers larger kitchens and a common room.
The apartments contain only the most important rooms and are also kept very small. The entrance area offers a checkroom and a bench, which occurs inside and outside. The living room, dining room and kitchen are located in an open space. From this room you can get to the bedroom. There is a bathtub, from which you have the view towards the Tödi. A small bathroom with toilet and shower are also available. The apartment is heated with a Tiba stove, which is also used for cooking. The apartments on the top floor have additional sleeping facilities in the attic, which are accessible by a ladder.
