The place is an old quarry in the landscape of menorca, an island in the mediterrean sea. It’s a place where they built up stones years ago. The Studio Ensamble entered the space like explorers in the darkness. With millions of laserpoints they registered the precies dimensions of the space. They call it the house of the earth - the fruit nature gives us, as a found space. It’s not only a built space, it’s a discovered space at the same time. In contrast to the sometimes imposing action of the architecture today, this house proposes a journey to the interior. The beauty here is found in the richness of the details in the material.
